The emperor penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri) is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species and is endemic to Antarctica. The male and female are similar in plumage and size, reaching 122 cm (48 in) in length and weighing from 22 to 45 kg (49 to 99 lb). Feathers of the head and back are black and sharply delineated from the white belly, pale-yellow breast and bright-yellow ear patches. Like all penguins it is flightless, with a streamlined body, and wings stiffened and flattened into flippers for a marine habitat. Its diet consists primarily of fish, but also includes crustaceans, such as krill, and cephalopods, such as squid. While hunting, the species can remain submerged around 20 minutes, diving to a depth of 535 m (1,755 ft). It has several adaptations to facilitate this, including an unusually structured haemoglobin to allow it to function at low oxygen levels, solid bones to reduce barotrauma, and the ability to reduce its metabolism and shut down non-essential organ functions.

How many times have you simply sat there with a box of crayons or coloring pencils and a coloring book or coloring pages and just enjoyed yourself for a little while? It really is not that surprising that there are as many adults that really love coloring as there are children that love this activity. Too many times adults sit there and hide the fact that they still like or love to color as much as their kids, or the kids in their lives, do. Think about this and answer this question if you possibly can; what is the matter with saying that you like to color on SpongeBob coloring pages?

While coloring pages may seem simple in the minds of parents and other adults these days, they are often the passport into a more creative style of play. Yes, your child will simply color the picture online, but by doing so, she is learning not only to stay inside the lines, but to balance color and texture and to simply use her imagination. If a coloring page for kids is the first step into a full-fledged imagination based entertainment package, it is unlikely many parents will find them simple for long.

However, it isn't just at home that they come in handy. Many professional offices take care of children. There are also parents that have to bring their children along with them for business. It may not be ideal but they often can't afford child care or it is hard to find someone to watch the youngsters so they can take care of things. Online printable coloring sheets though can be quickly delivered at the reception desk. That will reduce the anxiety for kids as they wait. It also enables the parents to be able to talk with other adults and not have so many interruptions. Sometimes online printable coloring pages can be offered for educational themes, holidays, or even coloring contests.

So prepare ahead of time and make sure that you've got enough distractions for the kids so that the trip will be uneventful in terms of fighting. Siblings don't usually like sharing stuff so you'll need at least two of everything. Two sets of crayons, two sets of coloring books. And it's probably best to make sure that both sets are exactly the same so that they don't get into an argument over the perception that Billy's coloring book is better than Casey's. Some cool crayons that you can find are the metallic or glitter ones. Kids love playing with the new media that manufacturers are coming out with these days. Gel pens are even good for the kids to play with. Hopefully you'll put a blanket down in the backseat so that the kids won't get ink or crayon wax on the upholstery while you're driving.
