Who needs alphabet coloring pages? As already stated that alphabet coloring pages are specially designed for preschool children, however they can also be used for toddlers, kindergarten students, and also for first grade students who are little slow in learning. They have been designed to have good and positive impact on the learning capacities of children.
So now to answer the how. And trust me; it's not as far-fetched as you may think. While the Internet is a fantastic place to watch videos, keep in touch with old friends, listen to new music, network, or participate in any number of other legal or otherwise illegal activities, it is an even better when utilized as a parental resource centre. How many times have you wished you had something new and handy to entertain you kids while you try to (insert any chore here) do the dishes, laundry, vacuum, etc... It takes you time to make time to spend that time. What a complete waste of time! The solution you ask? Open a webpage, Google a search, print off your find, and you're done. Your children will be more then occupied for the remainder of the time you need! The beauty of the Internet is in the resources it holds; every time, you can find something new. Are your children tired of drawing sea creatures? Print off farm animals. Are they not interested in drawing? Then print them out some word puzzles such as jumbles or crosswords. The point is, parents should look beyond the obvious functions the Internet provides and start using the web as the tool it can be in order to maximize their time. In truth, the vastness of the Internet and the multitude of resources available can be the true time-saver for parents.
I normally print out free coloring pages for my nephew – no problem right? Then I was asked to baby sit a few other little ones one evening. I passed out a coloring page to each of them along with a huge bucket of crayons. I was then off to watch an episode of Monk. After about three minutes the fight was on. I ran into the family room as if the house was on fire. The children were arguing over one particular coloring page. Normally this would have been another disaster. Imagine if I only had the traditional coloring book. This would have turned into a huge crying fest. Thanks to the Internet I zipped into the computer room and simply printed out several more of the same coloring pages and saved the day. I even made it back in time to see Monk work his magic and solve the case once again.
Now I am too old to watch Spiderman cartoons on my own, which is why it is great that I can do so with my son! He's a great excuse for me to sit and relive my youth! It's great that we have this enjoyment of Spiderman in common, it helps us connect and gives me a feeling of having a better bond with my son. I can talk to him about the Spiderman stories of my youth and his action packed adventures. Maybe it makes me a little "cooler", in his eyes, or at least I hope so! Apart from watching his shows, we love to sit and color in pictures of our favourite superhero. It's been great seeing how he has improved over the years. First with his hand eye concentration, then his autograph and definitely his imagination has gotten a boost. He is very creative. Nowadays when we have finished we often cut out the characters and then stick them on the walls or the fridge and position them so they are acting out an action scene.
